When AI Lands on You: the conversation nobody is having about AI

Last chance. The Emotional Change Strategy cohort closes Tuesday 1 September. Enrol now and we'll ship you a free Emotional Culture Deck & Change Toolkit, worth US$99. Enrol before it closes →

AI's landing on all of us right now, and almost nobody's asking how it feels to be on the receiving end of it. So we've made you something for exactly that.

When AI Lands on You is a new, free one-page conversation guide, built off our Know Yourself Through Change handbook. Ten minutes on your own. You name how you actually feel about the AI change in front of you, find what it's not taking from you, sort what's in your control, and land on one small move you commit to this week. So the change happens with you, rather than to you.

If you lead a team, fill it in for yourself first. A leader who's felt the change is a different leader in the room.

Why I designed it

A few weeks ago I was at the International Society for Emotional Intelligence conference, where Michelle Restivio, a learning and development leader at Amazon Web Services, shared what it takes to scale emotional intelligence inside a business that size. They run a 70,000-person emotional intelligence community inside Amazon. And of the thousands of requests her team received across 2025 and 2026, 39% came from leaders asking for EI training to help with AI and tech adoption, for practical tools and frameworks to carry their teams through it.

That number's stayed with me. I feel it points to something we're not saying out loud. Leaders are underprepared to carry their people, and themselves, through this change. Not only inside organisations, but across society.

The conversation almost nobody's having about AI is the emotional impact it's having on people. Change is emotional as well as structural. Most of the noise is about what AI can do. Almost none of it asks how you feel about it landing on you. And that feeling's the part that decides whether you meet this well, or push back against it. People don't resist AI. They resist how it makes them feel.

A short look at what this course really is

The course

Here's what I keep seeing. Leaders and organisations don't lack the theory of change. They have the models, and they can give the sound bytes. What they don't have are the practical tools to run the conversations that actually move people. That's what we give you.

And it's not theory. Inside our Emotional Change Strategy cohort you get tangible, tactical tools you follow step by step, the ones that open the real conversation underneath a change, not the rollout plan on top of it. This cohort also includes a live session with me on the unspoken side of AI adoption. We know the work moves people, because we measure it, with Professor Michael Parke at the Wharton School.

The next cohort begins Tuesday 1 September, and it only runs once a year. You can still join at the subscriber price of US$299.

This isn't theory. It's tangible, tactical & measured.

What's coming

Next week I'll share its companion, the Leading AI Adoption Conversation Guide, to help you consider how your people are feeling and what you can do for them as you lead your team through the rollout, whether you chose it or it landed on you too.

Stay emotional,
Jeremy

P.S. If you fill in the guide, I'd love to hear the one small move you committed to. Just hit reply. And freely forward this on to anyone you think it could help, or who might be inspired to dive deeper into this conversation and The Emotional Culture Deck.

Emotions aren't the soft part of change. They're the part that decides whether it lands. At R&E we move & measure the emotions that drive performance. Because the most human part of change has always been the most avoided & unmeasured.
