We understand life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change, making it impossible for you to join us at the Summit. Although we can't offer refunds due to our commitment to keep the event exclusive to Elephant Riders and the financial challenges that unexpected cancellations could pose, we've thought of ways to support you if you find yourself unable to attend.

You have two options if you cannot attend the event:

• You can sell your ticket to another Elephant Rider who can attend in your place, or
• We'll compensate you with ECDs equal to the value of your ticket. Certified Consultants will receive 24 ECDs, ECD Practitioners 12 ECDs, and ECC Members 17 ECDs.

This way, even if you miss out on the Summit, you won't lose out entirely. We hope this approach helps make things a little easier and strengthens the community support spirit.

This offer for compensation of ECDs is not available if you attend any part of the Summit but have to leave early.

Cancellation by R&E:

R&E reserves the right to cancel the Global Elephant Rider Summit due to unforeseen circumstances outside of R&E's control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, hurricanes, floods)
• Public health emergencies (e.g., pandemics)
• Government restrictions (e.g., travel bans, lockdowns)
• Acts of terrorism or war
• Any other conditions that would make the event non-viable or put our attendees' safety at risk

Refund Policy in Case of Cancellation by R&E:

In the extremely unlikely event that R&E must cancel the Summit due to the aforementioned circumstances, we regret that we cannot offer refunds to our attendees. This policy is in place due to the significant upfront costs associated with planning and organising the Summit, which are not recoverable to us.

Instead, R&E will offer the following to all registered attendees:

• Credit for exclusive access to riders&elephants digital content and virtual events designed to deliver value equivalent to the Summit experience.

We encourage attendees to obtain travel insurance that covers event cancellations to mitigate any financial loss.

Your Acknowledgement:

By purchasing a ticket to the Global Elephant Rider Summit, you acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy. You understand the risks associated with event cancellations due to circumstances beyond R&E's control and accept that R&E is not liable for refunds in such cases.

The After Summit Dinner Party is a special addition to the Global Elephant Rider Summit experience. Like the Summit, the Dinner Party requires significant advance preparation and investment. Therefore, if you are unable to attend the Dinner Party for any reason, we regret that we cannot offer refunds for this separately ticketed event. We recommend considering travel and event insurance that includes coverage for such eventualities.

We understand the importance of flexibility and will endeavor to assist our attendees in finding alternative solutions should they be unable to participate. However, the financial sustainability of the event and the fairness to all participants necessitate these policies.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and support in these matters. Our commitment remains to deliver an unforgettable experience while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all involved.

Limitation on Liability

Except for rights under the NZ Consumer Law (including but not limited to consumer guarantees) or any other law where liability cannot be excluded or limited, riders&elephants will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or business opportunities, even if riders&elephants has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold riders&elephants and its affiliates, and each of riders&elephants' and its affiliates' respective officers, agents, employees, contractors, and principals, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Site, including also your use of the Site to provide a link to another site or to upload content or other information to the Site.

Liability for Other Losses (including travel and accommodation costs, and loss of enjoyment): Please be aware that (unless required by applicable law): (a) Any personal arrangements and expenses, such as travel, accommodation, and other costs you have made, are at your own risk. Neither riders&elephants nor the event Presenter shall be responsible or liable for any wasted or unrecoverable costs or expenditures related to such personal arrangements, even if due to the cancellation, rescheduling, or alteration of an event for which tickets were purchased. Consider exploring insurance options. (b) Neither riders&elephants nor any event Presenter shall be held responsible or liable for any loss of enjoyment or amenity, including in instances where an event has been cancelled, rescheduled, or altered. (c) Neither riders&elephants nor the event Presenter shall be responsible or liable to you (and you will not be entitled to any refund) if admission to a Venue or event is refused or revoked at any time due to your breach of this Purchase Policy or the Venue or Presenter's terms and conditions. (d) Neither riders&elephants nor the Presenter will be responsible for any personal property brought into the event.

Note that the event programme, schedule, speakers, and content are subject to change. While R&E will strive to run the event as advertised, adjustments may be necessary and will not entitle attendees to refunds.

All attendees are expected to follow R&E's Code of Conduct here , which outlines the values and behaviours that we expect from our community.

Getting the most out of the experience: We encourage all attendees to come to the event with an open mind and humility to learn. We believe that the connections made at these events can lead to positive changes in workplaces worldwide, and we want everyone to get the most out of their experience.

• Respect and openness for others: We expect all attendees to treat each other with respect and kindness and be open to ideas that challenge their beliefs. We encourage vulnerable discussions, but we do not tolerate emotional dumping, discrimination or harassment of any kind.

• Participation in discussions: We encourage all attendees to participate in discussions and activities. We believe that everyone has valuable insights to share, and we want to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable contributing.

We value curiosity over judgment and wondering over concluding. We want to replace “That's wrong” with “Tell me more, I’m curious to hear more about your perspective”; “No” with “Huh, I see it differently”; “That doesn’t make sense” with “I’m not sure I understand, can you help me learn more." It’s okay not to know the answer. We value asking questions, engaging in self-reflection, and being open-minded. None of this is mutually exclusive with having strong beliefs or expressing your opinion. We are a community of forever learners invested in sharing, dialoguing, and growing together.

Vulnerablity & Trust
Vulnerability precedes trust  That's why we value vulnerability and emotional expression so much. This is a place for being yourself and expressing how you feel. We value truth more than comfort. Because it's only through discomfort that we grow. But we don't off-load our emotions on others. From time to time, hard conversations will come with disagreements. We know this. Our Elephant Rider Community is a place where we can disagree respectfully and where ruptures will be met with curiosity, compassion, empathy and repair.

The authentic discussions in our community are what make it unique. And those conversations rest on a foundation of openness, vulnerability, humility and sensitivity. Safe & Secure
We’re all in this together, so let’s not treat anyone like we wouldn't want to be treated ourselves. Two things are true: Disagreements are natural and kindness is required. But our Elephant Rider Community will not tolerate bullying and hate speech of any kind. Any content we deem as inappropriate or unsafe will be removed. Impersonation or assumption of fake identity is not allowed.

No Selling or Spam
We encourage you to tell us about yourself! However, this isn’t a space for personal financial gain or solicitations.

Give Credit Where Credit Is Due
We know that every person in our community has something to offer. And we welcome conversations about the things you’ve learned, books you’ve read, podcasts you’ve listened to, and ideas you’ve gotten from others. But, please remember to always share the source of your information.

Right to Remove
In order to best protect everyone who attends our events, we reserve the right to remove any participant whose comments or behaviour are deemed to be inappropriate or disruptive. An R&E Team member will provide participants a warning prior to removal from the live event. By attending our live events you agree to participate as a productive and respectful member of the conversation. Two things are true: Disagreements are natural and respect is required.

• Our event can host up to 100 people.
• Certified Consultants have the advantage of buying Early Bird tickets 48 hours before everyone else.
• After that, we'll offer tickets to everyone on our waitlist.
• Then, any Elephant Rider can purchase tickets if there are any left.
• Early Bird ticket sales end on March 15th, 2024.
• General Tickets are available until April 1.
• General Tickets cost $945 USD, or about 1,500 NZD.

Keep in mind, we may offer more tickets closer to the event date, especially for new Elephant Riders.

There is a small chance we might open up more tickets to the After Dinner Party closer to the Summit. But we are not able to promise that will happen. So please don't wait and hope we do.

If you need to leave the Secret Summit Location on Days 1 or 2 for any reason, we will have transport options available to return you safely and quickly to Frankton or Queenstown CBD.

This Summit is designed exclusively for Elephant Riders. If you know someone who you think would be inspired by our Summit who is not currently an Elephant Rider, invite them to complete the ECD Online Masterclass. If there are tickets available when they Graduate, you can invite them to attend with you.

The Summit is designed as a cohesive multi-day experience, so we can’t offer single-day participation.

We highly recommend getting to Queenstown in time to informally kick off the Summit for networking and fun. It is part of your Summit ticket also.

Sort of. In the lead-up to the Summit, we’ll share a more detailed programme, including the session themes, topics and timings within each day. We'll also co-create aspects of specific sessions and invite Elephant Riders to lead specific sessions. This co-creation will be part of the lead-up to the Summit.

The only offer is our early bird tickets, which are available for two weeks until March 15th. So move fast. We wish we were in a position to offer more support for non-profits and people who would benefit from assistance. But due to the nature of planning and organising a global event like this in a financially safe and secure manner, we can't offer further discounts or special rates to mitigate the financial risks for our small family business.

Yes, we're pleased to offer a three-part payment plan for Tickets, allowing you to spread the cost over three months. This option is designed to make the Summit more accessible and to ease the financial commitment.

How does the payment plan work?
Once you opt for an Early Bird Ticket with a payment plan, your total ticket cost will be divided into three equal payments. Each payment will be billed automatically monthly starting from the date of your initial purchase.

Are there any additional fees for choosing the payment plan?
Yes, there will be a surcharge for the instalment payment plan.

What if I miss a payment?
If you miss a payment, we'll reach out to you with a reminder.

How do I sign up for the payment plan?
During the Early Bird ticket purchase, you'll have the option to select the payment plan. Follow the prompts to set up your instalment payments.

Can I pay off my balance early?
No, sorry! Once you start the payment plan, it continues for three months until the instalments end.

As this is the first global event we’ve organised at this scale with this much complexity, we need the certainty of attendee numbers to plan and deliver an extraordinary event on a budget. If we've not filled the number of spots (100 max) available by April 1, 2024, then we may open Summit ticket sales again later in the year. But we can’t guarantee that will happen. Depending on the number of Elephant Riders, we will pivot, mould and craft an extraordinary experience for the confirmed number of attendees.  

Unfortunately, our Community Platform doesn’t allow us to take payments in NZD, so all payments are in USD. If you're NZ-based, we can provide you with an NZD GST Receipt on request. 

Queenstown is one of New Zealand’s most stunning environments. It also holds a special place in Jeremy and Becky’s life story. So, it makes Queenstown the perfect gathering place filled with inspiration, connection, and memories (old and still to be formed) for our first-ever Global community gathering. 

Elephant Riders from outside New Zealand may require a visa to visit New Zealand; please check the New Zealand Immigration website here for details.

We're truly sorry to share that our event's accessibility is not as comprehensive as we wish it could be at this moment in time. It's a situation we're aware of and in a couple of years at our next Global Summit we hope to improve. Currently, Elephant Riders will need to navigate getting on and off buses and moving short distances at our venues independently. Unfortunately, we're not yet equipped to provide hearing or low vision assistance directly.

But, in our commitment to improving inclusivity, we're thrilled to offer an ECD Braille Edition for those who might benefit from it. Your understanding and patience mean the world to us as we strive to make our future events more accessible to every Elephant Rider.
